Mario Arnaboldi, Mira, Programmaluce 1983

Architect Mario Arnaboldi’s Mira lamp is an engaging, dynamic object of motion and equilibrium. Composed of only the most essential elements, the Mira has a profile of contours and lines that change according to functional needs. A transformer and a two-position switch for different intensities of light are housed in a heavy circular base, out of which a double jointed arm extends, allowing the lamp to be articulated in multiple ways and directions — horizontally or vertically. Arnaboldi’s lamp was produced by Programmaluce in 1983, with a redesigned version produced by Civic Illuminazione in 2002. This is the original design from 1983.

The Mira lamp is in excellent condition and working order and is fitted with a GY6.35 35W halogen light source.
