The Trapezio is an impressively large and distinct suspension lamp designed by Italian architects Alberto Salvati and Ambrogio Tresoldi in 1986. Produced by Luci, the lamp is composed of a prism like metal frame on to which two textured glass frames are clipped. Even though the design doesn’t incorporate colour, the element Salvati and Tresoldi are most known for, the Trapezio still uses motifs typical of the duo’s architectural works: like the alternating shapes and textures of glass and perforated metal to screen and allow the light itself to be interwoven into the design of the object.
The Trapezio is in excellent condition and perfect working order. The lamp has been rewired and fitted with 2 meters of cable and steel wire. The sale does not include the light source as a number of different light bulbs with an E27 screw fitting can be used.
