Gjlla Giani, Nastro, Ecolight 1970

£415.00
SOLD

The Nastro table or wall lamp designed by the Italian architect Gjlla Giani and produced in 1970 by Ecolight (a subsidiary of Valenti). The lamp, whose name Nastro means “ribbon” in Italian, consists of a lacquered and folded metal sheet with a chrome bracket that allows it to be supported in two different positions or  suspended from a wall. This lamp is often mistakenly attributed as a piece by Christophe Gevers whose lamps were only produced by the Belgian company Light in the 1980s.

The lamp has a small amount of rubbing of the white lacquer around one of the circular barrels, otherwise it is in excellent condition and perfect working order and has been fitted with a new E14 LED 4.7W 440 lumen light bulb.
