The beautifully slim and tall Idomedue (Mod. 320) floor lamp designed by Vico Magistretti for Oluce in 1986. Primarily created as a reading lamp and photographed as a headboard lamp behind a bed in archive images, the Idomedue is an expansion of an earlier concept for another lamp by Magistretti, the Idomeneo. But rather than conceal the reflector tubes (as in the Idomeneo), the design of the Idomedue exposes them, allowing for a better distribution of light and greater flexibility in rotating and directing the light source.
More information on the Idomedue, as well as a full catalogue of all of Magistretti’s works and projects, can be viewed at the Archivio Vico Magistretti.
The lamp is new (old stock) and is in perfect unused condition. The lamp has been fitted with 2 new LED R39 E14 4.5W 325 lumen reflector bulbs.
