Tubular Desk Lamp, Light c1980

£210.00
SOLD

A large tubular metal lamp desk lamp produced in the early 1980s by the famous Belgian company, Light. The lamp has a heavy circular base which houses a transformer and dimmer switch, and flexible plastic joints which allows it to have multiple points of articulation. Light was formed by Belgian designer Paul Gillis in 1969, producing lamps up until 2013 by many well known designers, the most notable of which was Christophe Gevers.

The lamp is in very good overall condition and perfect working order. However, there is a dent on one side of the base (see image 10). This is sometimes noticeable and sometimes not, and depends on the way in which light reflects off the surface. The lamp uses a GY6.35 halogen light source, which is included in the sale.
