Elio Martinelli, Robot Floor Lamp, Martinelli Luce 1966

Elio Martinelli’s well known Robot lamp is an early example of his move from the traditional fixed type lighting of the 1950s to lamps with more fluid articulation and rotation. Designed in 1966, the Robot was part of a collection of floor, wall and table lamps featuring a patented device that allows the head to fully rotate and swivel independently from a tubular body. The Robot floor lamp casts a very nice direct but slightly diffused light, perfect when placed next to a chair and used as a reading lamp for example.

The lamp is very robust and is in excellent condition and working order with no damage or any scratches to the lacquered finish. The lamp will be shipped with a new E27 4W (40W) 470 lumen LED light source.
