Vico Magistretti, Porsenna, Artemide 1977

£520.00
SOLD

Produced by Artemide in 1977, Vico Magistretti’s sublime Porsenna lamp is a subtle and modern reinterpretation of a traditional wall light fitting that, like the table version, is constructed using only two essential components: a white metal bracket and a curved synthetic diffuser (resembling parchment paper) which is stretched and affixed to the corners of the wall support with the help of two metal rods.

More information on the Porsenna, as well as a full catalogue of all of Magistretti’s works and projects, can be viewed at the Archivio Vico Magistretti.

The lamp is in excellent unused condition and perfect working order. There are a few very small rust spots on the diffuser by the metal rods, but these are barely noticeable. The lamp will be disassembled and shipped flat to protect the delicate diffuser. The sale does not include the E27 light source.
