Paolo Pepere, Novizia Table Lamp, Egoluce 1989

Produced by Egoluce in 1989, Paolo Pepere’s design for the Novizia uses a carefully considered combination of different materials and textures to create a lamp that is very subtly reminiscent of a 1950’s microphone. Fine mesh aluminium, clear tubing and mirrored plastics have been skilfully combined to create a lamp with exceptional diffusion of light. The head of the lamp tilts to create different intensities of light, and is fixed to a lamp holder that rotates upon its own axis.

This Novizia lamp is in excellent condition and working order. There are a few light scratches on the mirrored base and small indentations on the mesh aluminium strip, but this is not visible when it is fixed into place underneath the plastic head. The lamp has been fitted with a new E14 2.5W 250 lumen LED light source.
