Mod. 449 Wall Lamp, Luci c1975
A distinctive wall lamp produced by Luci Italia circa 1975. With its substantial proportions and its smooth spherical body composed entirely out of polished stainless steel, the Mod. 449 makes for a truly beautiful, striking object. Although the lamp was intended for a wall, it could just as easily be fixed to a ceiling, or indeed, reconfigured as a table lamp.
The lamp is in excellent condition and working order and will be shipped with a new E27 4W 300 lumen LED bulb (chrome mirror). To help reduce the intense reflection produced by the mirrored surface of the lamp, we tried to source a very low lumen output for this type of bulb and this was the lowest we could find. While this light bulb produces a much less intense radiance than anything else we have tried, we would nevertheless recommend fitting and wiring the lamp to a dimmer switch.
