Lucite Pendant Lamp, Harvey Guzzini c1962

£280.00
SOLD

This well proportioned pendant lamp was produced by Harvey Guzzini in the early 1960s, possibly around the time Luigi Massoni joined the company. The lamp has a traditional design, but where there is usually glass, one finds a diffuser constructed from a lucite acrylic. With a top half composed of a clear smoky toned acrylic and the bottom half in a semi-opaque ivory tone, producing a beautiful lustre when lit. The lamp is suspended from the ceiling with the aid of a metal supporting cylinder, finished in a dark grey tone.

The lamp is in good condition and perfect working order, but with signs of wear due to its age (the acrylic is over 60 years old and is somewhat duller than it was in the 1960s). The sale does not include the light source as a number of different light bulbs with an E27 screw fitting can be used.
