Gianfranco Frattini, Daniele Wall Lamps, Luci 1979

A striking pair of wall lamps by Gianfranco Frattini. The Daniele is part of a collection of four lamps that Frattini created for Luci Italia in 1979, which includes the more well known Abele table lamp and the Veronica and Ignazio floor lamps. The lamps are constructed out of aluminium paired with plastic parts, finished in a deep red and green tone. Although these two lamps were not necessarily intended to be mounted as a pair, we think they work really well together with the two tones perfectly complementing one another. They also appear to have been produced a few years apart as there are differences with the reflective aluminium parabolas and the electrical circuitry.

This pair of Daniele wall lamps are both in near perfect condition and appear to be almost new. However, the back plates for both lamps are missing. We have constructed a simple bracket that uses a locking mechanism, which works in the same way as the original and looks almost identical once the lamps have been mounted. The light sources, 2 new 80W R7s halogen bulbs, are included in the sale.
